Reports: Milan stop talks with Chelsea over €30m outcast; turn to other targets

Tiemoue Bakayoko has been heavily linked with Milan in the last few weeks. Despite this, it seems the deal might not materialize as the parties are yet to reach an agreement, with the Rossoneri turning to other targets.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan haven’t reached an agreement with Chelsea and the San Siro side could now turn to other targets. The likes of Florentino Luis (Benfica) and Boubakary Soumare (Lille) are also on their wish list.

Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) add that the Rossoneri aren’t willing to satisfy Bakayoko’s wage demands of €5m per year, while Chelsea are yet to budge on the €30m price tag. Milan are now in a phase of reflection and have stopped the talks.

They have already signed Sandro Tonali and wouldn’t necessarily need the Frenchman as well, which is behind the sudden pause. It remains to be seen if the English side will lower the demands to facilitate a sale.
