GdS: Milan want to send an important signal in the Scudetto race tonight

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan still have the Scudetto race in their own hands but are under some pressure to claim all three points tonight, as Inter beat Empoli on Friday. Hellas Verona are the opponents and it won’t be easy for the Rossoneri.

Stefano Pioli’s men are currently one point behind the Nerazzurri, meaning one point would suffice to retake the lead. However, with just three games left, they probably want to ‘save’ that draw for a later occasion.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan want to send an important signal in the Scudetto race tonight. They have worked too hard all season to slip up now, with the finish line well in sight.

The Rossoneri play an attacking-style football and will thus continue to rely on the brilliance of Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu that we have seen lately, per the newspaper. In fact, it’s the defensive partnership that has kept the Rossoneri in the running for the Scudetto, now in their own hands.
