Gómez grows increasing sure of move to Turkey

By SempreMilan -

According to Sky Sports, Paraguayan defender Gustavo Gómez has set his mind on switching Milan for Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, thus setting in motion the increased co-operation of both teams to make the transfer a possibility.

Fenerbahçe has proposed a 2 year loan for the centre-back for €4 million, with the option to purchase the player at €5 million. This miserly offer has since been rejected at the previous meeting between both sides at Casa Milan. Milan, however, are willing to let go of Gómez if Fenerbahçe were to improve their offer to a 2 year loan for €5 million, with an option to buy at €6 million.

Milan have yet to decide if Gustavo Gómez is surplus to their requirements or not as deals for fellow centre-back Gabriel Paletta are also being weighed up as an option. Both defenders will not be leaving at the same time as Milan play in three competitions this season and the depth is a necessity more so than it is a luxury. For now, Milan will wait to see which offer is more suitable for the squad before either leaving in the dying days of this summer transfer window.
