Starting XI:

Donnarumma (6.5) – It wasn’t the best of performances from the young goalkeeper and he could’ve done better to deal with Inter’s first goal, but he did well to control his area.

Calabria (6) – It was quite a big match to start the Rossoneri youth academy graduate, but he did well on the right side of the defence aside from the second Inter goal.

Zapata (7.5 MOTM) – The Colombian defender was solid defensively and scored a wonderful late, late, late equaliser for the Rossoneri to share the points with the city rivals.

Romagnoli (7) – Scoring his first Serie A goal for Milan to start the Rossoneri’s comeback, Alessio put on a solid performance apart from when he fell asleep during Inter’s second goal.

De Sciglio (6.5) – Apart from the mistake on Inter’s first goal, where he could’ve dealt better with Candreva, Mattia put in a good performance on the left side of the defence.

Kucka (6) – Juraj looked a bit lost in some parts of the game but the Slovak didn’t do too bad in the centre of midfield, before coming off early in the second half for Manuel Locatelli.

Sosa (6) – It was an up and down performance from the Argentine veteran. Some sweet passes and the usual accurate long balls. He does have to act and make decisions quicker, though.

Fernandez (6) – Mati put in a solid performance in midfield. The Chilean looked quicker compared to his recent games and has got into the team well.

Suso (7) – The Spaniard once again proved to be one of our most important players, getting his 9th Serie A assist of the season and coming close to scoring on different occasions.

Bacca (5.5) – It was a very lacklustre performance from the Colombian striker, who wasted chances and looked lazy, except for the end where he tracked back and helped out. Worth to mention is that he also got a crucial assist.

Deulofeu (6.5) – In the first minute, the Spaniard had a chance which he should’ve scored. Gerard, however, put in a fine performance yet again and has become a key player in the team.

Substitutions:

Locatelli (7) – Manuel came on in the second half and did really well in the centre of midfield. He displayed wonderful skill and helped change the game in favour of the Rossoneri.

Lapadula (6) – Another game Gianluca Lapadula comes on for the Rossoneri and works hard to contribute to the team. Maybe the Italian deserves a start in the next game.

Ocampos (N/A) – The Argentine winger came on quite late in the game and didn’t make much of an impact for the Rossoneri as they were in search of a late equaliser.

The Coach:

Montella (6.5) – You’ve got to hand it to the Vincenzo Montella. A team that on paper looks much weaker than the opposition down 2-0 at half time. The half time team talks and the substitutions, that some doubted, led the Rossoneri to a great comeback against the city rivals.
