Journalist: Milan wonderkid will not join Inter but Premier League allure remains

By Isak Möller -

Francesco Camarda has attracted the interest of several big clubs thanks to his performances for AC Milan’s Primavera side. Yet to sign his first professional contract with the Rossoneri, above all Premier League clubs are trying to snatch his signature.

Camarda has been one of the stars for the Primavera this season, bagging 12 goals, and he also made his debut for the first team in November. Since he’s still just 15 years old, turning 16 tomorrow (March 10), he has not signed a professional contract with Milan yet.

As has been highlighted before, a two-year deal can be signed when he turns 16 – as per the regulations – but waiting until July would allow Milan to offer a three-year deal instead. That is what they intend to do, but this has also fueled exit rumours.

According to the journalist Pasquale Guarro, Camarda currently has ‘one foot out the door’ but he will not join another Serie A team, despite concrete inquiries from Inter, Juventus and Roma. The Premier League hypothesis is still alive, though, with some hefty contract offers expected.

Although he works for reputable outlets, Guarro is an Inter correspondent and his words should perhaps be taken with a grain of salt. Milan will need to keep an eye on the Premier League links, though.
