MN: Milan’s probable XI for Atalanta clash – Pioli prepares three changes

By Isak Möller -

Atalanta are up next for AC Milan and the game, which should be a tough one, is scheduled for Sunday evening. Following two consecutive defeats, the Rossoneri need to bounce back with a win and three changes to the starting XI are expected.

Milan advanced to the next round of the Europa League on Thursday evening but lost the second leg, saved by the aggregate score. Therefore, it was their second consecutive defeat and in order to restore confidence, a good display is needed tomorrow.

Atalanta have been in red-hot form and can move within four points of the Rossoneri, with a game in hand as well. The selection is of the utmost importance, therefore, and Stefano Piolo should revert to the usual XI as per MilanNews.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi (Calabria), Thiaw, Gabbia, Hernandez; Bennacer, Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud.

The only real doubt is the right-back position, as Davide Calabria has recovered, but it seems Alessandro Florenzi will continue to get the nod there. The veteran has been okay in the captain’s absence and the manager certainly doesn’t need to make the change.

Kick-off is scheduled for 20:45 CET and it should be an exciting one underneath the floodlights at San Siro. Make sure you check out our preview of the game as well.

  1. Let’s play Chukwueze and put our chances of winning in jeopardy! LOL! There are too many “luck” type players in Milan. Chuk, Okafor, Adli (luck running out). Chukwueze needs to step up ar ship out.

  2. How can you start Thiaw again after his performance against Monza? He’s been terrible all season and cannot be trusted. I would prefer Simic over him if Kjaer has to rest.

  3. I think the line up looks very good ,,if that’s the one that’s selected ..I do expect us to be at our best tonight …i love all of your comments..
