Training got underway for the week at Milanello today and some updates have arrived regarding some of the players who were away on international duty.
After returning to Milan last week, leaving the Algerian national team retreat following a small physical problem, MilanNews report that Ismael Bennacer was at the training group to begin preparations for Saturday evening’s match against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The midfielder did individual work on the field as did full-back Filippo Terracciano who was away with Italy’s U20 side. Obviously there are a few more days yet until the trip to Florence, but their conditions will be monitored each day.
Rafael Leao is expected to return to training tomorrow after Roberto Martinez allowed him and some other Portugal players to leave the camp early after their game on Thursday night.
The winger scored a lovely goal in their 5-2 rout of Swede but the head coach will use the second friendly tomorrow night to get a look at some players who he perhaps needs to see more from in view of the Euros.
Then, both tomorrow and Wednesday all the other players involved with their national teams in the last break before the end of the season will also come back to Milanello.
