Official: AC Milan vs. Sampdoria starting XIs – no changes from derby loss

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli has announced his starting XI for AC Milan’s clash against Sampdoria, scheduled for 20:45 CEST. The gaffer has decided to make zero changes compared to the loss against Inter mid-week.

Milan are in desperate need of three points after the disappointing loss to Spezia last time out, not to mention the knockout against Inter in the Champions League. Tonight’s clash, as such, is absolutely crucial for the Rossoneri.

As mentioned, Pioli has decided to make zero changes to the starting XI. Malick Thiaw did well against Inter and understandably gets the chance again. Brahim Diaz and Junior Messias, on the other hand, didn’t do well at all but have the chance to redeem themselves tonight.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Kjaer, Theo; Tonali, Krunic; Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

Bench: Mirante, Tătăruşanu; Ballo-Touré, Gabbia, Kalulu, Kjær; Adli, Bakayoko, Pobega, Saelemaekers; De Ketelaere.

Official Sampdoria XI (4-4-2): Ravaglia; Zanoli, Gunter, Nuytinck, Augello; Leris, Winks, Rincon, Djuricic; Gabbiadini, Quagliarella.

Bench: Tantalocchi, Turk; Amione, Murillo, Murru, Oikonomou; İlkhan, Paoletti, Segovia; DeLuca, Jesé, Lammers.

  1. Even though that there isnt any easy games in serie a and we have been pretty lousy as of late i expect a win and hopefully a clear victory so this team can gain some momentum and confidence in the remaining games.
