Official: AC Milan vs. Torino starting XIs – Pioli makes no changes

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli has named his starting XI for tonight’s clash between AC Milan and Torino at San Siro. After the win in the opener, the manager has decided to make zero changes to the eleven.

The Rossoneri started the season in the best way possible, scoring two goals and keeping a clean sheet. Now back at San Siro, they will be looking to replicate the performance in front of a sold-out crowd (72k present, among them Gerry Cardinale).

Pioli has decided to rely on the starters we have seen in recent weeks, meaning Christian Pulisic keeps his spot on the right flank. Olivier Giroud was questioned during pre-season but he did really well against Bologna, cementing his spot.

Official Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Krunic, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.

Subs: Mirante, Sportiello; Florenzi, Kalulu, Kjær, Pellegrino; Adli, Musah, Pobega, Romero; Chukwueze, Okafor, Colombo.

Official Torino XI (3-4-2-1): Milinkovic-Savic; Schuurs, Buongiorno, Rodriguez; Bellanova, Ricci, Ilic, Vojvoda; Vlasic, Radonjic; Sanabria.

Subs: Gemello, Popa; Bayeye, N’Guessan, Zima; Gineitis, Ilkhan, Lazaro, Linetty, Tameze; Karamoh, Pellegri.

  1. As expected. I at least four goals for us won’t be bad. We need to start very strong this season at home to make sure San Siro becomes a fortress. Forza Milan!!!

  2. Let’s see if Tomori and Calabria can get through the game without any clangers. (And Kalulu if he comes on.) Honestly the defence is my biggest worry at the moment.

  3. I predict 1-1 until 90th min when Colombo comes on and scores the winner and all of a sudden #PioliOut crew hail him as next Shevchenko.
