Photo: Tomori provides update on Instagram after injury scare – “All good”

By Isak Möller -

Fikayo Tomori was subbed off after just 45 minutes by England manager Gareth Southgate last night and since he took a few knocks, the AC Milan fans were worried. However, the defender has now provided a calming update.

Tomori got the chance from start in England’s Euro Qualifiers yesterday, though playing as the left-back against Malta. After receiving a few knock to his right ankle, the defender was subbed off at half-time and this worried the Milan fans.

However, answering a question on his post, the centre-back made it clear that everything is okay with his ankle. “Tutto bene”, he wrote, adding the thumbs-up emoji as well. This is certainly great news for Milan and Stefano Pioli, who already are dealing with a defensive crisis.

It remains to be seen if Tomori will feature against North Macedonia on Monday evening. Milan will take on Fiorentina next weekend and will certainly need the Englishman’s help, seeing as he’s the only centre-back currently available along with Malick Thiaw.

Simon Kjaer’s recovery is going in the right direction and you can read more about that here. He could be back in the squad against Fiorentina, by the looks of it.
