The situation regarding AC Milan’s hunt for a new centre-back appears to be moving pretty quickly, with Takehiro Tomiyasu now seemingly the main target.
After sealing the exit of Lucas Paqueta to Lyon for €20m on Tuesday, the Rossoneri have moved to try and secure a defensive reinforcement, with numerous sources claiming that Wesley Fofana of Saint-Etienne and Tomiyasu of Bologna are the main targets.
However, Fabrizio Romano now claims that Fofana is getting closer to Leicester. Talks are progressing between Saint-Etienne and the Foxes over what would be a deal worth €40m including bonuses. Personal terms have already been agreed between the player and the Premier League club.
As a result, Vito Angele claims that Milan have started to negotiate for Tomiyasu. The management are apparently attracted to player due to the fact that he can play both centre-back and right-back, while Bologna want to sell him on a permanent deal and are asking for €20m.
