Hectic schedule infuriating as Milan have one training session before Genoa clash

By Isak Möller -

The schedule has been incredibly hectic for AC Milan over the past few weeks and in the last few days, this has become even clearer. In fact, the Rossoneri will have just one proper training session ahead of the Genoa clash tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s clash against Genoa is the final of seven games in just 22 days (!) and this week has been particularly packed for Milan. They returned from Dortmund yesterday and had a light session at Milanello in the afternoon, which was only recovery work.

Today, they will have a proper training session but that will also be the only one. The Rossoneri will travel to Genoa on Saturday morning and there will thus be no time for another session, with only tactical presentations to rely on.

It’s a schedule that the Milan fans have every right to complain about, especially since Inter got one extra day of rest (they played on Tuesday). It’s the TV rights schedule that has made things difficult and something clearly needs changing on that front.

  1. Kinda weird we don’t get a sunday game after midweek UCL especially since the following week is international duty. Ignoring inters schedule just on principle the organisers should be more sensible here.

    Hopefully doesn’t cost us.

    Forza Milan

  2. I still don’t understand why we are playing another match on Sat instead of Sunday after playing on Wednesday night?

Considering that Genoa has gotten enough rest than Milan before this Saturday encounter, this is weird and too much for the players.
