Tuttosport: Milan strengthen grip on third with another late show on the road

By Oliver Fisher -

There was yet more late drama for AC Milan after their draw against Bologna last weekend as they scored a winner inside the final ten minutes against Frosinone last night.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) recall that Luka Jovic had only been on the pitch for a few minutes minutes before he bagged the winning goal in the 81st minute, meaning the Rossoneri further strengthen their grip on third place in the table.

They are now waiting to see what will happen tonight at San Siro between Inter and Juventus, hoping perhaps that both teams drop points, but there are no illusions about the team being back in the Scudetto hunt.

Yesterday in Frosinone the Rossoneri struggled a lot, but once again they showed great character and desire to win. After Mazzitelli’s 2-1 goal, which came thanks to an error between the posts by Maignan, the match seemed destined to end with a victory for the home team.

However, instead Milan reacted by first finding the equaliser through Matteo Gabbia and then in the 81st minute Jovic scored a goal worth three points.

Once again there was a great performance from Olivier Giroud who scored the goal to make it 1-0 and then provided the assist for the 2-2 goal, so he certainly had a hand in the victory as well.
