GdS: €100m available to build the ‘new Milan’ – Maldini and Massara highlight five targets

AC Milan’s owners have made a large sum of money available for the summer transfer window as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara carefully plan their additions.

According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting, Milan’s owners Elliott Management are ready to invest €100m in the summer mercato with the aim to strengthen each department of the squad to increase the level of quality.

The first two names on the wish list are currently at the same club in Sven Botman and Renato Sanches of Lille. Milan have had contacts for some time with the former who would like to join having declined offers from the Premier League and would replace Alessio Romagnoli, while for the latter work must still be done with his agent Jorge Mendes to find an agreement on terms.

Looking at the attack, Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo is the man that Maldini and Massara want. Zlatan Ibrahimovic seems to be oriented towards retiring at the end of the season, so the young Italian would therefore be a substitute with potential to grow alongside Olivier Giroud.

Then there are two Belgians in the club’s sights in Divock Origi of Liverpool and Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge.
