Centre-back pairing Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli played their second game of the season together in Thursday’s win over Celtic.

Against a Celtic side who were without their best forward in Edouard, the duo didn’t have too much to do as Milan’s clinical attack took care of business at the other end, but inside the final 20 minutes they were called into question by the home side’s aerial bombardment and they dealt with it well.
