90min: Milan among multiple sides interested in Newcastle winger

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are one of many sides that are in the conversation to try and sign Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle this summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by 90min, the French winger is being targeted by many clubs in the Saudi Pro League and that could push others to make a move.

Saint-Maximin only made 12 Premier League starts last season and is thought to be considering his options, even with three years left on his contract.

Whilst there is interest from Saudi Arabia, Premier League sides Everton and Crystal Palace are in the frame, whilst Milan and Marseille are also alert.

Saint-Maximin is known for his ruthless pace and incredible dribbling skills, although questions have been asked about his end product throughout his time at Newcastle.

Given Newcastle are owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which owns a majority stake in four Saudi Pro League clubs, negotiations could be swift.

  1. Milan should concentrate on agreeing with Chelsea on Pulisuc and negotiate with Valencia for Musah. Negotiate with Villareal for Chukeweze and if there is resistance get Kamada. It’s ashame we can lose this great talent while waiting for Chukeweze. Didn’t we learn from last summer with Renato Sanches, luckily Sanches was all that great for PSG. Let’s schedule the medicals for Kamada and Romero….I think Chukeweze is a dead end…

    1. Slowly it is getting clear that Maldini wasn’t the problem during transfer saga’s because just like last transfer market, we are all over the place chasing everything and getting nothing.

  2. Forget this clown and chuklazy, Orsolini or even Berardi please, we need some Italian blood otherwise we will lose our identity and our heart listen to what Baresi said, a real legend

    1. Agreed 100%. This is why Italy suck at international level. All teams should field 4 Italians and the claim that there aren’t enough good young Italian players is nonsense, they’re not given a chance. Look at how Juve improved with two Italian boys in their midfield. Mazzocchi can play on both flanks and I’m sure would have no problems in adapting to a midfield role, because going forward he’s great. Orsolini has had a brilliant season, he’s a cheaper alternative to SMS and far better than RLC. I’m hoping one day we’re sold to Italians, Michele Ferrero or one of the fashion houses would be ideal. There are wealthy Italians!

      1. Yeah, Orsolini from last season would fix the “missing RW”-issue with ease. And should even be cheaper than the Chuckie-guy from Spain.

  3. I don’t understand why we don’t think about Cuadrado who is out of contract, we should sign Kamada, Pulisic, Savic and Cuadrado, two free players who would at least fight for position. We should sell Kalulu, as he has dropped in performance and we already have spare parts in the squad and think of a striker to fight for position with Giroud

  4. Berardi is an overrated small team player, if he is that good by now he should be a superstar in Azurris attack
Don’t really trust chukwueze for the right side position

    1. Berardi wrecks most of the crap Serie A teams, exactly who we suck against. It doesn’t matter if Berardi goes missing against Inter, Juve, Napoli, Lazio or Roma etc, Leao and Giroud shine in those games. Where did we lose stupid points? Against the likes of Torino, Udinese, Spezia and, of course, Berardi’s team. I mean, how the hell do we lose to Spezia??!?!

      1. Exactly!! We need players who can shine against the sh*tty ones too. We lost to Sassuolo in January and Berardi was involved in pretty much all 5 goals that day. At least without him Sassuolo wouldn’t win us again. 😛

  5. Leao on the left and Alain on the right would be epic, this won’t happen though. Can’t believe everything you read in the media. If there’s no word from Di Marzio or Romano then it’s not concrete.

  6. Milan should have taken kamada and maximin.
Maximin could provide a taarabt-esque beat-your-man & create lot of chances from the right. He can also play as a 10 & on the left if kamada flops
Sms & or Amrabat would be a good midfield addition.

    1. ASM has no final ball and is injury prone. He’s your classic Seedorf type – 5-6 good games a season, garbage most other weeks.

        1. If you think Seedorf was such a great player, it’s you who is clueless. He’s the only Milan player I can recall hearing being booed on a consistent basis by his own fans. He was beyond lazy and horrifically bad at international level. Yes, he was great in some big UCL games, as I said, 5-6 a season. He had one consistently great season at Milan, but then so did KPB and Nocerino. As for ASM, do you really want to go over his stats?

          1. Being booed by fans had nothing to do with his on field production but mostly due to the off field actions , comparing a central midfielder to a left winger/ striker is pointles and a fact that you would clearly shows lack of understanding football. There is layers to this game.
You mentioned stats better check those cause seedorf has more goals and asists than saint maximin on regular basis and had those in the golden era off Serie A.
One great season?? Dear sir he dominated serie A for a decade. He was selected for UEFA TOTY twice ( 2002, 2007 ) and won award as the best midfielder in 2007.
Agreed he underachived on international level but many greats have..

      1. Did YOU seriously compere Maximin to Seedorf. Seedorf has been one off the most complete midfielders in history off football! During his time at Milan he was one off our most consistent and most durable players. Completely different position and style off play. You wish to compare maximin to former players from Milan then serginho comes to mind.. but realisticly its comparing a Fiat to a Ferrari.

        1. I said he’s a Serdorf type in that he has 5-6 good games. One of the most complete footballers?! Do you understand what complete means? Can pass, tackle, shoot, defend, is two footed and good in the air. That’s what being complete means. He didn’t dominate Serie A for a decade, he was never close to being the POTY. He was lazy and he won’t be remembered as one of the Milan greats.

        2. Seedorf was booed because he was lazy. Where are you getting this off the filed crap from? No one cares what he did off the field.

      2. I think you only remember Seedorf’s last two seasons because in his prime he was in fact excellent. But I do admit I got REALLY frustrated with his performances during the last two seasons so I can understand where this is coming from…

        1. I saw his entire career. I can list dozens of midfielders better than him during that era. I believe he only made the Ballon D’or top 10 once in his career. He was mediocre most weeks.

          1. “I saw his entire career.”

I bet you did! Like they broadcasted every single match on the internet like they do now. 😀
