Neves is just 19 years of age but the midfielder have broken into the first team at Benfica having made 38 appearances for them, attracting the interest of a number of clubs in the process.

According to 90min, more than a dozen clubs were present at the Estádio da Luz to see Neves score a 94th-minute equaliser before his side would then win it in the 97th minute.

Liverpool and Manchester United were there, though they were also watching Goncalo Inacio and Antonio Silva, as well as Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham, Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham United.

It wasn’t just Premier League sides who had an eye on the game though. Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Napoli, Atalanta, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Celtic also had scouts in attendance.

Benfica and Sporting are known for being talent factories in Europe and a Milan scout was present at the stadium as per the report, while it is not the first time this season the Rossoneri have watched the Lisbon-based club up close.
