90min: Milan target rejects Arsenal as they are not good enough – Leipzig move imminent

By Oliver Fisher -

Reported AC Milan target Dominik Szoboszlai has refused a move to Arsenal because he is not convinced the Gunners are good enough for him, a report claims.

According to 90min, the 20-year-old is expected to move to Red Bull Salzburg’s sister club RB Leipzig for €25m when the transfer window opens next month.

They claim that Arsenal have been in contact with the player’s representatives and the Gunners were even confident of closing a deal for Szoboszlai, but the player thinks they are not playing at a high enough level for him to consider moving to the Emirates Stadium.

The north London club currently sit 15th in the Premier League and the likelihood of them failing to qualify for the Champions League for the fifth time in a row is pretty high.

A move to Leipzig means he is likely to continue playing in the Champions League, but Arsenal and other clubs will have a chance to sign Szoboszlai again in the future as his contract with Leipzig will contain a release clause – but it will be much higher than €25m.
