AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali is attracting the interest of three London-based Premier League clubs, according to a report.
According to 90min, Saturday’s game between AS Roma and Milan at the Stadio Olimpico – which ended in a 1-1 draw after last gasp goals from Tammy Abraham and Alexis Saelemaekers – was attended by scouts from England.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich all sent scouts to attend the game, with Abraham likely to be one of the players that was observed.
However, the report also adds that Tonali is of interest to Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham after his impressive performances both domestically and in the Champions League, but given he is a boyhood Milan fan and renewed his contract last September it will be hard to prise him away.
The source go on to claim Leao was ‘under the watchful eye of Chelsea and PSG’ but the Portuguese international is expected to stay and is ‘closing in on a new contract’.
I remember an old interview with either galliani or capello where one of them had been approached by alex fergusson in a match expressing an interest in aquiring paolo maldini and the reply had been a laugh and a response that paolo wouldnt even consider a move away from ac milan.
Tonali might not be a milan legend as paolo but i suspect unless he actually was forced out of the club the reaction would be pretty much the same regardless of whoever might come calling.
I partially agree, although the clubs chasing him can easily double his wages and bonusses etc. Double the wages will test anyone’s loyalty, especially if we dont get CL football next year.
I remember the interview with Ferguson ref Maldini when it happened, and i don’t know for sure, but i doubt they were offering to double his wages.
That’s why im worried about Leao, Theo and Maignan, they are are arguably under achieving with us and definetly under paid.

Tonali dropped his already agreed upon salary when he finally signed for us after the initial loan to finalize it and only now is getting more after hjis september renewal.
Had the deal broken down he could already back then have gotten a better salary as clubs like juventus and psg was interested in him already then.
Clearly he isnt guided by money and has proven that by his actions.
Maldini wasnt even interested in hearing about a move to utd so they never got so far but maldinmi was already the best defender at that time so had they opened negotiations he would have had to be paid handsomely. Maldini after his retirement also refused offers from for example chelsea to be part of their staff and refused that as well.
Not sure what you mean about those players underachieving unless you mean that they could join a more wining team.
Either way not everybody is ruled by cash and both maldini and tonali has proven that, Theo has a contract lasting til 2026 so no need to worry there and could have left the club for more money and maignan seems to be in the process of renewing his contract but his contract also last until 2026. Leao also seems to be ready to renew his contract as per fabrizio romano so i simply see no reason to worry unecessarily.
Tonali is a childhood ac milan fan and i see him staying with us into his 30ies and he propably do that as well.
In his 1st year at Milan, Tonali was on loan with option to buy.
When the season was over he went back to Brescia. Milan and Brescia were then trying to agree on a Tonali permanent transfer under new conditions. His salary was lowered because of how bad he was in the 1st year, (not as bad as CDK). He was signing a new contract. No one at that time was offering him even what Milan was paying him let alone double.
When it comes to Maldini.
During Maldini’s career Milan was by far the best club in the world. They were also one of the best, if not the best paying club. Serie A was the best league in the world. So if you are playing in the best league for the best club in the world, who also can pay you the most money, it’s easy to understand why he wouldn’t leave.
When manutd became relevant on European stage, Maldini was already in his 30s, and Italian players rarely leave Serie A and even more rarely succeed in another league.
People forget that during Berlusconis time, Milan was the PSG, ManCity, Chelsea of that time. Own by super rich owner buying the best players, paying the highest salaries.

It not correct as he was loaned to us with an option to buy and already at that point milan had negotiated what tonali should be paid when joining us after the final transfer. Dealwas eventually finalized by tonali giving up a significant ammount of his initially agreed contracts. thats a fact.
Prett confident to say that Maldini would have followed milan even down in serie b had that been the case, For maldini there is only one club.
I cant remember the speciffic year when fergusson asked the question but utd was already a great team in the early 90ies and at that point he wasnt very old but even if he was in his 30ies he was still the best defender in the world.

Tonali’ transfer fee and his salary were significantly lowered after his initial loan with option. The reason was his poor play. He went back to Brescia after his 1st season and Milan and Brescia were negotiating on new fee and with that on new salary that summer. It was a totally different transfer.
You are guessing if Maldini would have stayed in serie B with Milan. Every person is as loyal as the options he has.
Again, Maldini was playing for the best club in the world, in the best league, for an owner that can match any salary. NO INCENTIVES TO LEAVE. If Milan wasn’t the best and Berlusconi wasn’t one of the richest we would have been able to actually see if Maldini would have stayed because of “loyalty”.
ManUtd and EPL were not on Milan and serie A level.
EPL of that time was equivalent to serie A of today. 3rd or 4th league in Europe where only older players were going to finish their careers or flops to resurrect their careers. EPL started growing with Abramovich purchase of Chelsea, prior to that no one was paying attention to that league. By that time Maldini was old.

I’ll agree though that some of the other players with us wouldnt have stayed with us in serie b but im confident to say that maldini nevertheless would have done so.
baresi by the way played two seasons with us in serie b while he had already debuted for the italian national team.
So what if Baresi stayed? Do we know the context why he stayed?
Because,Trezeguet also played for Juventus in serie B even though he was one of the best strikers , world cup and euro champion. And he didn’t stay out of loyalty, he was forced to stay because he was under a contract and Juventus refused to sell him. At that time you couldn’t go on social media and act up to get your wish like they do today.
People that are old enough remember that he wanted to leave and he was mad at Juventus management for not allowing him to go, especially after they allowed Ibra, Viera and few others to leave.
There is context to everything. And since most of us weren’t born at that time and information weren’t so easily accessible as they are today only the parties involved really know why he stayed in serie B.
of course things should be seen in context but that doesnt exlude the opposite either but yeah juve did in fact force some of their players to stay. Yes, but you can’t use that when it comes to Maldini staying, because he was playing for the biggest club in the world for one of the richest people in the world. Anything ManUtd could offer at that time Milan could have matched and offer more. That’s all I was saying. Don’t just make idols out of these players. Only of things were different at Milan we would actually know if he was going to stay when manutd came or not. That why, everyone is as loyal as the options he has. Has nothing to do with capitalism. If Milan wasn’t competing for titles every year and manutd was, a player could leave out of desire and ambition to win. It’s not all about the money.

I understand your argumentation but you seriously has no reason to question either maldini or baresis loyalty and if you cant see that then its your own problem understanding the concept of it. They have both proven loyalty and still does it to this day..

Milanista and italian . Tonali would reject offer from abroad and inter/juve. I dont know about other , but in my experience from supporting AC Milan since 1990 , all italian that milanista stay loyal at AC Milan . Foreigner player can become milanista too but dont blame them if they choose money above loyalty
