Porto have been left with a dilemma because Mehdi Taremi does not want to renew his contract while AC Milan are pushing to sign him, a report claims.
According to A Bola, Taremi doesn’t seem tempted to sign the renewal with Porto and he would technically be free to sign a pre-contract with another club within six months.
Talks with the Iranian striker have not been positive so far and as time goes by the idea of selling him this summer becomes more and more possible, so that Porto do not lose him for nothing.
Milan have put Taremi on their wish list for the striker role alongside Álvaro Morata. They are two concrete options, but with different frameworks, since signing Taremi may cost more in transfer fee but he would have a lower transfer fee.
Porto want €20m to sell immediately but it is not ruled out that they might keep him even if renewal talks go nowhere so as to have his goals for next season, of which he has scored 80 in three campaigns.
Would be a good signing on a free for next season. Giroud will be 38 by then, and even with investment in another younger striker it would be nice to have a player like this as an option.
Good signing if true, especially if we can lower the fee to around 15m
He will be good for 3-4 seasons, enough time to look for another good younger striker, or wait for Colombo or even Nasti/Lazetic to mature.
