GdS: Milan close to announcing renewal of midfielder until 2027

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s faith in Tommaso Pobega is seemingly as high as ever with the midfielder reportedly set to sign another contract extension.

Pobega is currently under contract until June 2025, but La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) report that that the management have reached an agreement with the midfielder’s entourage to extend it by two further years, therefore until 2027.

The announcement is likely to arrive by the end of July, and Pobega will receive a pay rise as a recognition of his development during his recent loan spells in Serie A with Spezia and with Torino. Milan have expressed their will to put faith the 23-year-old and for this reason they have sought an agreement on the renewal.

Now, he has to dispose of a muscular problem and will probably be available for the last friendly match against Vicenza scheduled for Saturday 6 August in Veneto, a week before the season opener against Udinese.
