Sky: Milan getting closer to De Ketelaere for three reasons – the aim is to close by Saturday

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping to close a deal for Charles De Ketelaere before the end of the week after yesterday’s meeting in Belgium, a report claims.

Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews), Peppe Di Stefano took stock of the negotiation between Milan and Club Brugge for De Ketelaere and claimed that the playmaker is ‘getting closer and closer’ to joining the Rossoneri.

The face to face talks on Wednesday were ‘preparatory to the closing of the deal’ which probably will not be today, but either Friday or Saturday. The player is getting closer to Milan for three different reasons: because he chose Milan, because the Rossoneri have offered close to the €35m requested by Brugge and because the Belgian club confirmed a willingness to sell.

It is possible that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara talked to CEO Ivan Gazidis and Elliott Management portfolio manager Giorgio Furlani to update them on the operation. The final offer is awaited, and the target is to have the player at next week’s Austrian training camp.

  1. Action speaks much louder than words, if we don’t get him by Sunday we must target another player there are less cheaper players with good potential also.. if we fail to get him this time target another player
