Repubblica: Milan’s latest €35m bid for De Ketelaere comes with an ultimatum

AC Milan have presented a new bid for Charles De Ketelaere and have set an ultimatum for talks with Club Brugge, according to a report.

It is no secret that Milan are looking to sign a playmaker this summer and De Ketelaere is the number one target, but after initial progress it seems that things have slowed down with Brugge putting up some resistance, despite the fact the player is currently being left out of their games.

According to what La Repubblica (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, Milan presented an offer to the Belgian champions worth €30m as a fixed amount with €5m in potential bonsues plus a percentage on the proceeds from a possible resale.

This is a proposal not far from the €40m that Brugge are asking for, but the offer has a deadline as the Rossoneri want a definitive answer either tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest, because they simply cannot wait forever.

  1. Let’s move on. It is clear Brugge speculates in this bidding war. Let’s move to the alternative players.

  2. Taking way 2 long. Now imagine we sold Kessie or Romagnoli. We would have enoug founds for this and wouldnt have to haggle for every cent 😀 Even M&M cant make miracles every season without cash

    1. Kessie and Romagnoli played their parts in our scudetto last year. Kessie as pittbull on Brozovic’s ass in his way won us the derby against Inter and Romagnoli Covered Kjaer and Tomori when both weren’t available.
Do you want to exchange a scudetto with him? Yeah, i dont think so

      1. that has nothing to do with lacking transfer funds.
my point would’ve been if they was under contract we could sold them this summer and generate cash

  3. Jan Cuuk you clearly dont know who CDK is to be comparing him with Faivre,CDK and Faivre are complete opposites to each other Faivre wen Maldini and Massara showed interest in him he started giving interviews talking shit and is team Brest and ours AC Milan did not like Faivre what Faivre was doing so they give up on him on the other hand CDK wants to come to AC Milan but he is being a professional about is attitude so he does not damage is relationship with Brugge and dont harms the negotiation of AC Milan with Brugge for is transfer!

    1. Lol Milan never give up on Faivre, they simply didn’t match the 15mil that were requested for him. Same as they don’t want to match what is requested for CDK now. That’s why the players them self are trying to push for the move since Milan are cheap. CDK just asked to be excluded from Brugge team by him self as well. That’s why he wasn’t even on the bench in their first match of the season. Btw if we paid 2more mils and signed Faivre back in January, today we would have had a decent RW for much cheaper compared to what is avaliable on the market now. Big mistake from Milan back then that backfired. Now the only option is injury prone Zyech in his 30’s and costs almost double then Faivre lol. CDK can play on the wing as well but he is more suited for a central role and again double the price of Faivre.

    1. Iyaa nih RedBird kagak mau keluarin duit. Tapi 30m fix + 5m bonus itu udh bagus banget. Apalagi ini liga belgia, 2 level down liga italia.. hehe.. mending cari pemain muda di ajax. Bagus2 tapi harga lagi tingfi semua krn Ten Hag…

  4. Like nesta said, we have already built back our scattered family, despite missing some important pieces. Let’s move on, there are bunch of good player that easy to get and want to play for current milan. I believe that player will be among the pieces that need to be found

  5. Club Brugge would, most likely, have accepted Milan’s offer it it were not Leeds’.

Leeds United finished 17th of their championship last year. No offence, but they are akin to Cadix in Spain, Salernitana in Italy or Clermont-Ferrand in Gaul (all thes clubs finished 17th of their league last year).

Seeing that such a club can compete with Milan, and even forestall them financially is something quite depressing I must say.

That being said, Milan have no other viable alternatives:
    – Zyech’s wages are too high,
    – Zaniolo would be 1.5 times as expensive as CDK, – and Zielinski would be, at least, as expensive as CDK.

To my mind, Milan should stop bargaining for a handful of € Mio and strike a deal asap.

Considering that the club was sold for €1.3 Bn a few weeks ago, this makes these endless discussions just ludicrous (well, say, there are things I’m not armed to understand).

  6. Looks like we didn’t draw a line in the sand and we increased our bid lol. Where is @Flossonero now?? LOL. Again it’s 35M always has been…

  7. Thats enough i think ,with percentage sale in future 10 percent should be enough 40m euro. If brugge still refuse that offer then time to move to ziyech or other player. Give brugge deadline are good too ,we cannot forever wait for bidding war with leeds
