GdS: Milan not giving up on De Ketelaere – another new offer is planned

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan still believe that they can get the Charles De Ketelaere deal over the line and a new offer is planned, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the rumours that emerged suggesting Milan have moved on to other targets are very much unfounded and Milan are still absolutely in the running to sign De Ketelaere.

The Rossoneri have not given up on the playmaker and are actually ready to slightly raise their bid to get closer to the €35m asking price. Yesterday there were no new contacts between the two clubs, but in the Rossoneri’s plans there will most likely be a new attempt in the next 48 hours.

De Ketelaere meanwhile continues to push to move to Milan, but for now Club Brugge are not satisfied. The 21-year-old is feeling a lot of pressure and was left out of the squad for their league opening game yesterday against Genk, and the feeling is that in a few more days he will know his future.

In the meantime, TEAMtalk report that Leeds are watching developments with a close interest and were his move to Milan to collapse, then Leeds will work to convince the player to sign for them instead.
