In what’s a first for Italian football, the AC Milan Women will debut the club’s new kits this Saturday.
They’ll do so a day before the men’s teams does, as the men will sport the new kits against Cagliari on Sunday. The Rossonere will sport their newly minted kits as they take on Sassuolo for the right to play in next season’s Champions League.
The team will also cross another milestone, as for the first time in their history, Milan will sell the women’s jerseys on the team’s site and in their team store. A statement on the club’s official website reads as follows…
“Established in 2018, AC Milan’s Women’s team represents a bold new era in the club’s rich history and an important part of the vision and the future of the club with its identity, values and objectives, which has already generated value on and off the pitch just three years since its creation. Through PUMA’s #SheMovesUs platform, PUMA embrace the club’s commitment to support and celebrate Women’s football by debuting the new Home kit on-pitch with the AC Milan Women’s team.
“Together, AC Milan and PUMA celebrate women who move together to achieve and connect – through sport, culture and values,” said Matthias Baeumer, General Manager BU Teamsport. “AC Milan is built on innovation, community, integrity and inclusiveness and we wanted to celebrate the representation of this historic club and the changing identity of the city of Milan in both our kit design and our communication, by elevating AC Milan Women’s team.”

This is one of the many ways that Milan have supported their women’s team. To date, the club is also still the first and only team that pays pensions for their women’s team in Italy.
The AC Milan Women will play Sassuolo this Saturday at 12:30 CEST. The match will take place at the Stadio Enzo Ricci in the province of Emilia-Romagna. A preview of the game will be posted prior to this Saturday’s match.
