MN: Adli shows bright signs in a friendly again – why December is crucial for him

By Oliver Fisher -

There was a feeling of deja vu today as Yacine Adli was once again the most impressive of the senior squad members to play in a friendly match.

This afternoon, the Rossoneri hosted Serie D side Lumezzane at Milanello for the first test during this winter break. Things started badly as Milan were 1-0 down after ten minutes despite an XI containing the likes of Tomori, Gabbia, Tonali, Pobega, Krunic, Rebic and Origi.

As MilanNews recall, the man who once again demonstrated his exciting capabilities in the context of a friendly was Yacine Adli, who ended up playing behind Origi. He scored a great goal as the former Bordeaux man weaved through four men and hit a rocket of a shot under the crossbar when close to the goalkeeper.

The performance aside from that was bright, with the Frenchman showing that he is not lacking in confidence. It will be a very important month of December for Adli, both regarding the playing time he will get if he stays with the Rossoneri and the loan suitors he might attract if that was decided on as the right solution.

  1. Same thing happened in pre-season. He “looked good in pre-season” and then the gas/hype started. It’s Luminezze or whatever the club is called because be honest, no one knew that club until we played them. It’s like playing the level under the Primavera. This was just an exercise in fitness, no more
