Aftonbladet: Ibrahimovic may have violated Coronavirus protocol in visit to Hammarby

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic may have violated protocol on Sunday as he went to watch Hammarby in action in his home country.

The 38-year-old went to watch the Stockholm-based club in action as they beat Ostersunds 2-0, with Ibrahimovic of course a shareholder of Hammarby.

According to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet however (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic was in the dressing room after the game and congratulated the players, as the Hammarby club president has confirmed.

Confirmations have arrived that he was indeed in the dressing room but this is not allowed by the protocol adopted by the Swedish league with regarding to the Coronavirus emergency, as only players and technical staff can enter.

“I need to know more before I can say anything, we’ll discuss it with Hammarby,” said Swedish football secretary general Mats Enquist.

In the meantime, Ibrahimovic is continuing his recovery from a calf issue which threatens to keep him out of the game against Lecce on June 22.
