Agent of Bologna midfielder reveals price tag after confirming Milan’s interest

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson has revealed his asking price after declaring a few days ago that AC Milan are interested in his client.

Ferguson has impressed since joining the Rossoblu last summer as he has made 18 appearances this season, scoring three times in the process and establishing himself as a starting central midfielder, an area the Rossoneri need to bolster.

A couple of weeks ago Ferguson’s agent Bill McMurdo spoke on a podcast about the reports of interest in his client from top clubs in Serie A, and he confirmed ‘for a fact’ that Milan and Juventus and keen on signing him.

Now, McMurdo has given an interview to Sportitalia in which he spoke further about his client and also disclosed what Bologna are likely to demand if he is to move on in the summer, with his comments relayed by Calciomercato.com.

“Lewis told me five years ago that he knew he would play in the top leagues. His self-esteem is amazing. Bologna was a great opportunity for him and he is totally convinced of the club and the choice he made. He knows he is destined for the top of football,” he said.

“I do not wish to comment on which team I think he would be more suited to. As for his style, he is very adaptable and can play in many forms. I think a price of 9-10 million is a fair figure at the moment. Lewis has a deep conviction that he can play in the best leagues in Europe. In my opinion, he has unfinished business in Italy.”
