Agent of Arsenal and Milan-linked Lille star responds to speculation: “If Milan are interested…”

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of Lille star Yusuf Yazici has denied having any talks with AC Milan regarding a potential transfer to the Rossoneri.

Newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) reported earlier today how the Milan management have identified a possible replacement, also of Turkish origin, in Lille’s Yusuf Yazici.

Yazici recently scored a hat-trick at San Siro in the Europa League match, which the Ligue 1 team won 3-0, and it is claimed that Milan could try to take advantage of the good relations with the French club and the lower the cost of his transfer.

However, everything will depend on the future of Hakan Calhanoglu, while the Daily Mirror claim Arsenal have shown an interest in the 23-year-old.

Calciomercato.com spoke to Yazici’s agent Adem Cebeci to see if he has ever had contact with the Milan Management regarding a move.

“This is only the beginning. We are only at the beginning and I am convinced that Yusuf will grow more and more. After this long journey we will see where we will be,” he began.

In the summer of 2019, before the transfer from Trabzonspor to Lille, there was insistence on Milan’s interest in Yazici. How true were the rumours?

“We never had direct contact with Milan before Yusuf’s transfer from Trabzonspor to Lille. Lazio had a concrete interest in the boy.”

Did Milan take information after the direct match at San Siro in view of a possible farewell of Calhanoglu?

“Many international agents called me after the match against Milan. Yusuf was fantastic and scored a great hat-trick. We have not had direct contact with Milan. So if Milan are interested in Yusuf they should call Lille directly, not us.”
