The decision to leave the Premier League and try a new experience in Italy has ‘completed’ Olivier Giroud, according to his agent.
Giroud arrived at Milan in the summer of 2021 as he signed for a small fee from Chelsea to begin his first spell in Serie A. It was initially thought that he would be a deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the Swede’s injury problems meant he soon seized a starting berth.
The 36-year-old has scored 22 goals in 55 total appearances for the Rossoneri since arriving, including several huge goals in the Serie A title win last season, and he has also earned a spot in the French national team too, netting a brace in their World Cup opener against Australia.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport carries some comments from Michael Manuello – Giroud’s agent – who spoke about the fact that his client is currently having one of the best moments of his career.
“Italy completed him because they ask him for different things. In Serie A he stays more in the box than in the past and has responsibilities as a starting striker. Olivier was often a number 2 or a number 1 and a half in the hierarchies, while at Milan he is one of the references of the team,” he said (via MilanNews).

Life starts at 36!
Giroud is class ,world class ,make no mistake about .
He brings the best out of other players around him ,
and inside the 18 yard area which he commands ,he is the best centre forward anywhere ..He can score some amazing goals from such acute angles ,and his technical ability for a big man is amazing ,so strong and difficult to knock off the ball ..plenty more goals to come from him ..I am not surprised at the form he is at the moment for both France and AC Milan .
What’s makes him so different is that he has immense belief in himself ,this confidence inspires the whole team ..
I love the man alot❤️🖤 Never lacks confidence
