Agent of Gremio star opens the door: “We are ready to evaluate all offer, even Milan”

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of Gremio star Everton Soares has revealed that there were talks with AC Milan, and did not rule out the possibility of a move in the future.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for the Brazil international over the summer and even during the January window, with a number of different outlets claiming that Milan were looking at him as a potential alternative to Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa.

Last month an intermediary admitted that there were talks held regarding a move to Milan in the past, and last month La Stampa ran a report claiming that the Diavolo’s interest in the 24-year-old is far from over.

Now, his agent Márcio Cruz has spoken to MilanLive about the future of his client, revealing he did have talks with the Rossoneri over a move.

“I spoke with Milan last year, mid-season, when we tried to set up the deal but nothing more was done. The reason? Grêmio’s requests,” he said.

“I have not been in contact with the club at the moment, we have not heard from each other but Everton is in any case ready for a European transfer for this summer.

“There are interests in Italy, Germany and England. We are ready to evaluate all offers, even Milan should they show interest again. We are still talking about a club of absolute tradition.”

It appears that signing a left-sided player is a priority for the Rossoneri as the window approaches, with links to both Lyon star Memphis Depay and Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai in the media recently.
