The agent of Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has seemingly confirmed his client is likely to move to Italy amid links with AC Milan.
The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for Szoboszlai over the past few weeks, while Liverpool, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have all also been credited with interest.
It has been claimed that if Ralf Rangnick should arrive, Milan would have a very important joker card to use when negotiating, and Tuttosport added that Ivan Gazidis is ready to sanction a €20m bid.
Now Matyas Esterhazy – the agent of the Hungarian – spoke about the future of his client during an interview with TMW.
“The position is really simple at the moment, we are thinking about ending the season in Austria and then seeing what happens in the five most important leagues. Something will be known in the coming weeks,” he said.
“We are not thinking of names, whether to take a longer or shorter step. We think only of the possibilities, of the right project.
“Of course, for us playing a lot is a necessity. We will choose the one that will improve as much as possible, in my opinion Dominik has the chance to be one of the best players in Europe in his role.
“At the end of the story the choice is made by the player. In my idea, both Italian football can be a good destination.
“If the time is right, Serie A is one of the most likely choices, of course.”
On a price tag, he added: “It is very difficult to talk about value, it is defined by the market. Today is unstable, Coronavirus will have repercussions, probably in prices. It will be difficult to define it.”
Meanwhile, Anto Vitiello of MilanNews is reporting that Milan are huge admirers of the player and are negotiating to bring his price tag down.
