There was a chance that Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira could have joined AC Milan this summer, his agent has claimed.
Torreira to Milan was one of the early transfer sagas of this summer, amid reports that the Rossoneri wanted to bring in a big name midfielder before the window ends.
The Uruguay international was thought to be one of the names on the shopping list, and there was even speculation in June that the player had handed in a transfer request to try and force a move back to Serie A.
However, Unai Emery came out and said there was no chance that the 22-year-old would be allowed to leave the Gunners, and his agent has seemingly confirmed that was the case.
“There was a possibility that he joins Milan,” he told TMW.
“However, Arsenal communicated that they have no intention to sell him.”
