Agent opens door for Premier League winger’s return to AC Milan

The agent of Gerard Deulofeu – Albert Botines – has once again opened the door for a potential return to AC Milan for the winger.

The Spaniard made 18 appearances for the Rossoneri after joining on loan from Everton in January of 2017, scoring four goals and adding three assists in the process, leading many to believe it would be turned into a permanent move.

However, his previous club Barcelona had a buy-back clause as part of the deal that saw him join Everton in the first place, which they then exercised but he barely played for the Catalan giants.

He then moved back to the Premier League with Watford in January 2018, where he has netted 15 goals and added eight assists in 54 games (all competitions) since, as per transfermarkt.

Nonetheless, rumours of a potential return to Milan have never gone away, especially given that Deulofeu described his time at the San Siro as the happiest of his career.

Now, his agent Albert Botines has once again flirted with the idea of Deulofeu wearing the Rossoneri shirt again one day.

“He remained very tied to Milan and could return one day but we have to see how things evolve,” he told Sky, as per MilanEye.

“Milan fans message him on social media asking him to return. Gerard loves Serie A and Italian football so something might happen in the future.”
