Agent suggests Laxalt’s future could be in Russia after Celtic: “The club has already contacted Milan”

The agent of AC Milan full-back Diego Laxalt has revealed that Russian Premier League side Dynamo Moscow are very keen on his client.

Laxalt joined Milan in the 2018 summer transfer window but in truth he never established himself at the club, following up a loan spell at Torino with another loan this season to Scottish Premier League side Celtic.

The Uruguay international looked like he could be set for a resurgence in Scotland as he seemed a good fit for Neil Lennon’s 3-5-2 and impressed early on, but once they switched to a back four he found playing time harder and harder to come by.

Not only that but the former Genoa defender was hauled off at half-time during a 2-0 loss against Rangers by interim boss John Kennedy. All of the above has led to heavy speculation that Celtic will make no attempt to sign him permanently, but it seems he could have a future in Russia.

“Dynamo (Moscow) are really interested in Diego. Moreover, the club has already contacted Milan regarding his transfer,” his agent Ariel Krasouski said (via HITC).
