PM: All signs points towards Ibrahimovic remaining at Milan after retiring from playing

By Oliver Fisher -

All signs point to Zlatan Ibrahimovic having a future at AC Milan beyond the end of the 2022-23 season and beyond his playing career, a report claims.

PianetaMilan writes how Ibrahimovic is working to return to the field in January 2023 after undergoing knee surgery at the end of last season, and his big target is to get back on the pitch to contribute once again.

Meanwhile, a future in the management for the Swedish forward is on the horizon with the idea being that the ‘love story will continue for a long time’. Age is a factor to take into consideration and the condition of his knee last season showed he cannot play forever, but a plan for after his retirement is already being thought of.

Zlatan has never hidden the fact that Milan is his second home and it could soon also become the first. His family should move to the Lombard capital soon, with wife Helena and his two sons Maximilan (aged 15) and Vincent (aged 13) are ready to follow him on a permanent basis and are already in Italy.

It is a big sign that Ibrahimovic’s future will be at Milan in a role of team manager or a similar position. His sons have attended the Rossoneri football school over the last few days, under the watchful eye of their father who accompanies them to training, and they will soon officially join the youth academy.
