Given the tight schedule, Massimiliano Allegri is expected to make some changes to the starting eleven for Milan-Lecce, but he admitted that he hasn’t decided which yet.
Milan will play their fifth game in 16 days tomorrow, taking on Lecce at home, and Allegri will thus have to think about the condition of his players. Most of the key players featured against Como on Thursday evening, except for Christian Pulisic, so today will be a decisive day.

Indeed, during his press conference, Allegri admitted that there will be changes to the starting eleven. However, he made it clear that he hasn’t made any decision yet, aiming to assess the players at Milanello this afternoon first.
Injury and player updates…
“Pavlovic is unlikely to be in the game. Until yesterday, he couldn’t head the ball. Gimenez is still out. The others are more or less all fine. Tomorrow there will be some changes, because it’s the fourth game in two weeks.

What will the starting XI changes be?
“I don’t even know. I’m looking at the team today. We will see who has recovered best. Leao was crucial, but as soon as he gets over his adductor problem, he can and must do much better. Fullkrug also did very well.
“I need to figure out who’s fit and eligible today, who’s in top physical condition. The substitutions will be important; in Como, they were crucial. Not because I’m guessing right, but because the guys are making themselves available to their teammates.”
The latest reports are suggesting that Samuele Ricci could replace Luka Modric in midfield, thus giving the veteran some rest, and Pulisic is also poised to start. The American should definitely have fresh legs after remaining on the bench for the entirety of the 3-1 win against Como.

Dont start pulisic, sell him. Ac milan are better without him. Did u see the coumo game 3-1 what a score line. Dont need pulisic for anything. As all the articles here said “that was the best lineup, I loved loved that lineup without Pulisic”
are you brain damaged?
Did they also have a brain damage in Chelseawhen he was on the bench since the day they brought his average butt, u american bum !? This pulisic dude is overhyped and overrated and the only reason he plays in Milan is because the owners of the club are americans!! GTFOH u baseball watching bum.
You’re so right that Chelsea team that accomplished so much lol you sure are dense
I do however agree that the owners are idiots. They are cheap and have no clue how to negotiate
Yes, exactly. Pulisic has only scored 8 goals in 14 games. He has the highest goals / minutes for all non-strikers in Europe – higher than Haaland – so we need to punish the team and him because he missed a couple of goal-scoring chances his last game.
Go eat some worms. With pesto.
Don’t you think that you are a bit harsh on Pulisic?
As an American I hope ACM do sell him. He’ll do better elsewhere playing in a system that suits him.
They probably should sell him not because he sucks but because he’s way too good to be disrespected by AC Milan fans like yourself. You must be blind, he’s only your best player the last 3 seasons. Honestly AC Milan doesn’t deserve him.
Yes, sell him so he can play in a system that suits him.
Such a pathetic troll that doesn’t even warrant a proper response. 🤦♂️
Some of you guys don’t recognize sarcasm when you see it huh?
They’ve got to rest Leão. Yes, he made a nice pass for an assist, but otherwise he could barely run and did little. Rest him.
“but as soon as he gets over his adductor problem”
Which means that Allegri is acknowledging *again* that Rafa hasn’t recovered yet; still, some silly posters here keep thinking that saying that Rafa is still injured is just a made-up excuse, when it is *quite obvious* that he can’t run therefore his best characteristic, that of bursting through the defense (usually coming from the left) is very limited and has been so for several games (and even with limited minutes and carrying the consequences of three injuries this season, Rafa is still the second most productive forward in terms of goals and assists, having made 11 such contributions this season, which is only 1 fewer than the team leader for that, Christian Pulisic).
So with his speed limited, all that Rafa can do is what he did last time: something that doesn’t require running, like the perfect flick to set up Rabiot for the go-ahead goal. Because Rafa has been more static than usual due to never healing properly, the haters who like to call him lazy are having a field day.
Why is he playing instead of fully healing? Because our roster is very short and we are very thin upfront, where all players in that sector have been bothered by injuries (Rafa, Puli, Nkunku, Füllkrug and Santi). So sometimes Allegri has no choice but starting Rafa, which is actually quite dangerous; it’s not a good plan to put more strain on the muscles of a player who is nurturing a muscle injury.
I wish we’d have no Rafa but rather Puli + Füllkrug against Lecce. Allow Rafa to truly heal, Allegri! Füllkrug is also nurturing a toe injury but he seemed fine against Como.
Against Como it was also clear that Modric was ery far from his usual self.
We have a very difficult game against Roma, next. I think we should indeed rest both Rafa and Modric.
We know, though, that we’ve been having way more trouble with the small clubs than with the big ones. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again, against Lecce.
