GdS: Allegri pushing for Juventus to make Massara new sporting director

By Oliver Fisher -

Another source is now reporting the news that Juventus want Ricky Massara to be their new sporting director as part of the overhaul at management level.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) report that Juventus are looking for a new sporting director and among the various candidates they are considering is the current holder of the same position at Milan, Ricky Massara.

The main man behind the interest is Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri, who is a former team-mate of Massara while they were at Pescara and is familiar with the work he has done both with the Rossoneri and during his time at Roma.

The Bianconeri are thinking about making an attempt, even if they know it will not be easy to snatch him from Milan given the very strong bond between Massara and the technical director Paolo Maldini, who played a key role in the Scudetto success of last season.

  1. Isn’t that what most of the big clubs do?
Taking players, coaches or directors from other clubs are a huge part of sports. It’s a competition. You get better and at the same time you make your opponent weaker

  2. He will probably take it.
It’s much more fun to work with the actual budget he will be provided and not the change from buying a gum that he’s working with currently…

    1. Let’s see what Juve’s budget will be if they’re relegated to Serie B (or C) for their crimers.

Maybe not the wisest move to leave Milan (who are going fast to the right direction) for a Juve that should be relegated. But we’ll see if Massara values money more than anything else.

    2. Clearly, you don’t understand budgets. The financial mess Juventus is in is not something to emulate. Then there is Chelsea, which spent 421m since the summer and sit 9th, 18 points from first.
