There is a clear desire to bring Dusan Vlahovic to AC Milan. However, doing so is not proving easy to do, unfortunately.
A move for the Serbian has been the most discussed thing all summer, at least in the striker deparment. There is a desire for strength and competition up front, and Vlahovic would provide that. Everyone feels that way.

However, Juventus are unwilling to let the player go for little, whilst he is not going to leave without this season’s wage package arriving, in some form. So, as this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) states, things are at a standstill.
This is not a bad thing though, with Milan hoping for delays.
Solutions
Perhaps, they could help each other, with the report suggesting a swap is possible to help everyone. In this case, Vlahovic would move to the Rossoneri, whilst Malick Thiaw or Strahinja Pavlovic (who is ‘more likely), would go the other way.
There are ‘no better opportunities’ on the market, and the Diavolo are aware of this. However, a move for the striker cannot be forced whilst there are problems to be sorted outside of their control, so this is why everyone is willing to wait.
Safety
The signing of Pervis Estupinan is a big aid for Milan, mainly as it offers a bit of time to sort other things. It is one more position which looks complete. Of course, there are stresses with Ardon Jashari and a right-back.
However, the main issue is still the striker, though there is one less box to now tick off.
Chess match
Now, the situation with Vlahovic has descended into a bit of a chess match, and the first move, or wrong one, could be costly. Milan want him, Juventus don’t want him, but there is time for the Rossoneri to kill.
Whilst that is happening, other options could be considered as the mercato opens up. Right now, there is no denying that the Diavolo could wait until the end of August for Vlahovic. It is certainly not one that will close soon.

Send Thiaw to Juve in a swap? Nah, can’t be true or just plain stupid
of course it is… Juve are desperate
we can literally get him 10-15M without any swap… also Allegri played Thiaw, cause recent rumors have said that he likes his ball-playing ability (seemed solid vs Arsenal; well more than his usual self)
Pavlovic. Then we can get a CB that is solid maybe…
Thiaw is just an average CB overhyped by our community the same way Kalulu has been lifted to a great prospect, trust me we need to offload many players including him.
Milan is the only team wich doesnt sell their deadwood to other teams (Musah to Napoli), but are helping rivals get their deadwood of, in this case vlahovic. Hope this isnt gonna happen.

Yup, let’s wait until the last minute to buy a centre forward. Because we have plenty of time. We already have 1, so what’s the hurry? No rush….
That’s hilarious 🤣 Monaco, Bruges, Juventus, you can say that other clubs are used to fast sales because other teams want new players early in the preseason. They’re probably stunned and confused to see this Milan management playing the “waiting game” and thinking they’re smarter than the others.
🤣🤣🤣 you’re right this is the proof that Furlani-Moncada are still keeping control
We have to wait for an opportunity to present itself, becouse we do not have a budget for ST. Unless we offload permamently some of the players like Benny, Emerson, Adli, Musah
There are many red flags around Vlahovic.
He is just terrible at Juve, earns ridiculous amount of money, makes fuss about his severance package. He is no guarantee of quality, but can be a huge problem to offload in the future (just like he is now for Juve).
With Allegri’s style of play – defensive – I don’t get why Milan won’t focus on quality defenders and midfielders. If the whole team will work good, then even Colombo will score enough goals in the front, not to even mention Gimenez.
There is no need to do this gamble deal with Vlahovic.
Lol. Terrible? He is on about the same numbers as Giroud at Milan. That includes 2 rebuild seasons in one of which Motta already wanted him out. I’d say he did pretty good considering the environment. 4 seasons 2 team rebuilds, one with a coach that doesn’t want him.
He had 10 goals in Serie A last season and 4 were penalties, meanwhile he gets paid 12mill per season. Also, he complained about running too much and has injury problems. That’s not a striker you should go all in on.
Exactly… even Reijnders or Pulisic scored more goals than Vlahovic last season, and they are not even strikers. And I’ve been watching Juve last season, this guy looked absolutely terrible there, he reminded me of Origi (when he was still fit to play).
Look at Juve fan portals. They will be opening champagnes when Juve would offload Vlahovic. The same way we would be when Milan offloads Emerson Royal.
Its a matter of perception and expectations. Juve fans wants him gone becouse he costed Juve 80 million and earns 12 million per year, and he never lived up to meet such high demands. If Juve would bought him for let say 30 million and he earned 5-6 million, then they would be probably OK for him to stay. He is a good player, just not worth 80/12 m.
But we are not going all in for Vlahovic, we are considering him only becouse there might be an opportunity to sign him cheap. If we had 40-60 million budget then we would look for different player. But we dont have such budget, so we are evaluating market opportunities and Vlahovic is one.
Yeah you make a good point, but still the way this guy is behaving is giving me a red flag vibes. He is just not living up to expectations at Juve, and instead of trying to prove he can still be good, or agree to leave to different club for reasonable fee to prove he can score a lot, he is more focused on squeezing Juve out of every penny. He has right to it, they gave him a huge contract, but still we can see he is more focused on money rather than proving himself on the pitch.
And that is also problem with Milan. He currently earns ridiculous amount of money. Even if he agrees to take 50% salary cut when joining Milan, he will be still one of most expensive players at Milan with long contract. And we’ve seen what problems this can make. He can be like Origi or even Bennacer. He will be impossible to offload.
For me, he is just not giving us enough guarantees to provide quality to go with this deal. There is too much risk. It’s better to spend 20-30 mil on someone else with smaller contract. And if not, just invest in defense now and keep Gimenez with Colombo in attack. Or even keep Okafor there. If team will work well together and create many chances, then striker will be just an addition, not necessity.
Agree with you,and what hapens if Allegri go? what we do with his dog? Will have worst problem then Juventus now
watching him play for years is a big enough red flag for Vlahovic, he’s just not that good. Like you say, with Allegri’s ultra-defensive style we’d be better off with a striker who could stretch defences like Kolo Muani or Boniface
First of all, this guy is a trouble for any team.
Secondly, Juve is desparately attempting to get rid of him. They are happy to terminate his contract if he ‘gives up’ his last 12 million.
So, why Milan should pay a penny to Juve or offer This/Pavlovic? It’s like gifting 10 million or giving away your defender for free.
I am sure Vlahovic’s agent will come up with a crazy commission from his next club too.
He had 6 months of good career throughout his whole career but he believes that he is a world class striker.
I would rather bet on promising hungry striker than this arrogant Vlahovic
Lol 😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Did he hurt your feelings? You seem to be emotional and stats tell he is not bad at all.
Oh, sorry my Balkan(Serbian) ‘friend’ 🥲
I like to tell the truth although you don’t seem that you can handle it lol
Vlahovic’s stats doesn’t say he is worth 12 million per year. Tell me if I am wrong, I will throw numbers to your face
Agree nice comment
Let’s guess if Alegri will be sacked because management incompetent of managing player transfer. If you can’t sign one player, let’s move quick to other qualified players.
Please can it soon be end of august and Vlahovic is still rotting on juve bench costing them loads of money. Don’t bring to milan please!
So who is better than Vlahovic within similiar financial parameters? He can be probably bought for under 20 mil with 6m salary.
Vlahovic is a good player. It’s not his fault his on 12m salary, Juve was foolish to offer him that on 4-5 year deal. He lost his way at Juve. Like Milan it’s a big club and sometimes it’s hard to adapt but if he is the same player he was at Fiorentina and rediscovers that form then he will be a top signing. Albertini said the same.
We took a punt on Pulisic and the gamble paid off. With Leao and Pulisic front 3 that’s good trio all in their mid 20s.
If he fails the lanky Nigerian CF from Brugge is worth a gamble.
Exactly, Vlahovic is a good player, but not good enough to justify a 80 million transfer fee and a 12 million salary. With his transfer fee and salary expectations skyrocketing, he never lived up to the expectations.
Seriously? You want to do business with that stupid club after what they did with CDK and now jashari? Even if brugge have Messi in their prime they can go to hell
Juventus again will joke with us like do same with Kalulu and with Caldara or Bonucci,so guys please DONT BE STUPID AGAIN,if you want Wlahovic buy for 10 -15m and gave Vlahovic salary 7m if he and Juve want ok,if not dont do mistake like always do when talk with Juventus.
This is your chaince not be stupid like at past was.
Useless suggestions. Buy him differently. After all, they bought Kalulu from us without any swap
Simply a very bad deal for Juve in acquiring Vlahovic and it is proving more bad to offload him.
