Massimo Ambrosini, ex-player and captain of the Rossoneri, spoke to SportMediaset about the rumours that have linked Luka Modric with a move to AC Milan recently.
“In a team of young people who play at San Siro, having someone like Modric in the middle of the field would be a blessing,” he began.
The Croatian has been linked with the Rossoneri in recent weeks, as it seems that his relationship with Real Madrid isn’t at its best. However, a deal remains extremely difficult, as Modric would request a high salary.
Despite this, some Milan fans continue to dream that Boban and Maldini can muster something up before the transfer window ends. In the interview, Ambrosini explained how the midfielder could help the team.
“You know that when you are in trouble, you can always give the ball to him (Modric), and he will allow you to breathe,” he concluded.
