Anger rises as Milan price fans out of Juventus clash: “Out of logic”

AC Milan’s pricing structure has been heavily criticised this season, and it seems the management have not received the message after announcing their prices for the Juventus fixture.

Before the clash against Liverpool in the Champions League, several reports highlighted the fact that tickets were on sale until the day of the match due to the extortionate ticket prices, and the theme has repeated itself with the Juventus game next month.

On the Rossoneri’s website, tickets are listed between €99 and €480 – which is another increase on top of the Liverpool game. Even at the lowest prices, it will cost a family at least €400 to visit San Siro, which will be massively off-putting for some.

As Pietro Mazzarra wrote in his piece for Milan News, the cost to go to San Siro is a ‘repeating issue’, and the prices are ‘out of logic’. Whilst the prices remain lower than Inter’s, there is a need to look at ‘our own house’ because backlash is rising.

Ultimately, the current pricing strategy will only push new supporters away from taking in the sights of San Siro, and deny countless locals the experience of a Diavolo home matchday. A worrying trend that needs reversing, but a sign of the club’s focus.

  1. So classic, fans call Milan cheap, constantly complaining about the money the club isn’t spending, how they need to spend more on players. Welcome to supporting a top club, these prices are nothing new for big sporting events I guess some of us think Gerry is our daddy and should give us everything for free

      1. There really is. And a gullible one at that.

Fans would pay such high fees, and then be gifted the drama that is going on at Milan now for such prices. They could as well as stay at home and watch TV.

Some commenters just spew forth words, like they don’t understand why majority of the fan base are irked out by the current happenings at Milan. But then again I guess it takes a super fan to support the big man upstairs.

  2. I will never pay to see Juventus play anyway. Last years game was a total snooze fest and with this years Juventus it definately will be again. Calling it 0-0 already.

I have never seen Milan at San Siro. When I go I want to see a fun opposition team like Roma or Lazio. Those games always eventful 🙂

Hope they don’t price them superhigh then though…

  3. Exactly how I imagined this will pan out with these Wall Street thugs. Construct a cheap team, sell it as the next best thing and charge extra for it. How untypical for an American broker.

Gerry wants to squeeze every buck out of fans, taking advantage of their affection for these colors. That’s how much he cares about fans.

  4. I’ve mentioned many times over the years that building a new smaller stadium most likely will make ticket prices go upwards and add to that there is plans to add a fairly huge section reserved to business people then I’m starting to think I was right that things might actually go worse down the road.
For a long time I was against moving away from San Siro then I wasn’t but these ridiculous prices makes me wonder once again if this will actually serve the common middleclass workers, let alone the lower class.

  5. This is what happens when American owners take control of clubs. Especially when someone like Cardinale who thinks he has bought a diamond in the ruff. He doesn’t care about the fans, we are just another profit stream. Cardinale OUT and he can take his band of soldiers with him. I won’t spend a penny on this team until they are gone.
