CM: ‘Another psychodrama’ – Conceicao ‘not at risk yet’ after consecutive defeats

Despite another loss in midweek, AC Milan are not making any considerations about the future of Sergio Conceicao, at least not yet.

Things around Milan have gone from fantastic to awful in the space of less than two months. The excitement of winning the Supercoppa Italiana has disappeared and the club are now in a very dangerous position.

Pessimism is high, understandably, frustrations are higher, and there is a feeling of dread just lulling around the Rossoneri, making it a very toxic place. Unfortunately, it seems that those feelings have now leaked onto the field.

Despite the fallout, it seems that there are no extreme actions set to occur just yet, and Calciomercato.com reports that the Portuguese coach is ‘not at risk yet’, despite losing the past two games in Serie A.

Whilst his long-term future will remain a topic of speculation, the club are currently not planning on any immediate decisions to find another head coach during this season. However, that could again change.

The report states that the game against Lazio holds the weight of a ‘last resort fixture’. Whilst Conceicao is having to deal with the wait of an underperforming side, he also has made some questionable decisions.

However, it seems that a summer change will still be more likely than sacking the Portuguese after the Lazio game.

  1. Milan are an absolute bin fire at the moment. Plenty of talent in the squad, but the sequence of disasters on the pitch just seems more and more inevitable. This is the worst place the club has been in for many years.

  2. He’s maybe not a risk because there is not point in firing him now. Season is over, in fact it was already over by december if you ask me. Luckily we probably have enough points to remain in serie A.
Although if we start losing many games in a row, I don’t see Conceição staying until the end of the season.

  3. Fonzy’s downfall started with same title. He’s not at risk yet. Maybe Lazio game will be decisive.

Players don’t seem to follow him or want him around so it’s just better to send him away. Felix too.

Mauro can manage until the end of the season.

  4. We see a part what this management thinks. Sale of Calabria, benching Tomori. They want Tomori to leave.

But our transfer strategy is disaster.
That’s why Bennacer left. Probably Bennacer waant to leave for permanent.

Now question is who management want to leave in the summer? And who is arriving? How much they think to invest in terms of lost 90 million by not playing in European tournaments. If we add 10 from supercoppa that’s 100 million.

Well luckily CARDINALE is now owner so either way – he needs to ay this disaster.

    1. Sale of calabria, really, his contract was expiring and he wasn’t that great. Tomori was terrible, benching him did him some good.

Terrible market, they got Gimenez that everyone wanted, Joao Felix despite being trash, people boasted about acquiring him.

Seems to me you just have hatred for the owners but no real idea what football is.

      1. “Sale of calabria, really, his contract was expiring and he wasn’t that great. ” Yea that’s the problem with fans. Jiminez did splendid btw /s

  5. This is what the arrogance of dismissing Maldini and Massara and ultimately Pioli, without a plan gets you.

You cast aside the guys that built the scudetto and UCL semifinals teams and handed control to a group who had literally no experience in their respective jobs. They should all be stagistas, not directors.

What did you honestly expect Gerry?

  6. There’s a very clear disconnect between the players and the coach. Not sure what’s “psychodrama” about it.

Sergio is stiff in his ways. A little flexibility, along with the understanding that he is no longer coaching up-and-coming players in Porto would probably do him a lot of good.
