ANSA: Ibrahimovic expected to isolate for 14 days – his return could be the derby vs. Inter

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to miss AC Milan’s next four games across Serie A and the Europa League, according to a report.

Milan confirmed on Thursday that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for Coronavirus and will not be able to play against Bodo/Glimt.

According to ANSA (via MilanNews), the Swedish striker is currently asymptomatic and is now isolating at home after being told to by the club, who are following the correct medical protocol.

As expected in these cases, the 38-year-old will have to observe a quarantine period of 14 days and will be able to have the green light from the ATS after two consecutive negative tests.

Then, to resume competitive activity, he will have to undergo a series of tests provided for by the protocol. It means he will miss the Bodo/Glimt game but also the Crotone clash, the potential Europa League Play-Off and the Spezia game, returning for the derby if things go to plan.
