ANSA: Milan and Inter to send letter to council asking for clarification on San Siro

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter are set to send a letter to the council of Milan seeking clarification regarding what can be done to San Siro, a report claims.

The two clubs have made their intentions clear to build a brand new state-of-the-art stadium, with American giants Populous and Italian firm Manica the two forms competing to land the contract.

The City Council recently voted that the project is ‘in the public interest’ with a number of conditions, but Mayor Sala recently issued the warning that the current proposals are ‘impossible’ to approve.

According to ANSA (via MilanNews.it), the two clubs will send a letter to the council related to the future of the current stadium, which the council fully intends to keep and not demolish.

Milan and Inter are hoping that they will receive an answer within 120 days, and they will then analyse the financial sustainability of the plans, as well as any constraints that have been placed on the surrounding area which may impact their project.
