ANSA: Milan believe Ibrahimovic will accept new offer; latest on Pioli’s position

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan leadership are optimistic about a return to the club for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the wake of Sunday’s hammering against Atalanta, a report claims.

MilanNews.it’s Anto Vitiello reported earlier on Monday that Milan resumed contacts with Ibrahimovic after Sunday’s horror show in Bergamo in which they lost 5-0 to Atalanta.

The reliable source suggested that Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban have adjusted the offer in the hope of convincing the former PSG star, with an answer due to arrive in the coming days.

According to ANSA – as cited by MilanNews.it – there is optimism at Casa Milan once again regarding the arrival of Ibrahimovic.

After weeks of stalemate and lack of a definitive response, the 38-year-old Swede – according to what he filters from the club – is now be ready to accept the offer.

After the humiliation in Bergamo there were hours of reflection on the work done, though the report adds that Stefano Pioli’s position as head coach remains safe.
