AC Milan want to tie Rafael Leao down to a new contract but there are a number of Premier League clubs who are monitoring his situation, a report claims.
La Repubblica (via SportWitness) takes a look at the situation surrounding Leao, who hit 10 goals for the season and 100 appearances for the club during the 1-0 win over Sampdoria at the weekend. The 22-year-old is now considered to be ‘irreplaceable’ for the Rossoneri because he has now shown that he can play at a high level consistently.
They remark that ‘Arsenal are in the lead’ for his signing, implying that they are the most interested in landing him rather than it being likely that Leao leaves, but they face competition from ‘half of the Premier League’.
Milan want to extend his contract from the current deadline of 2024 and the management are aiming to ‘lock down’ Leão for ‘as long as possible’ with a pay rise foreseen as a reward for his new status as a leader within the squad.

oh no, Arsenal will surely take away Leao
Millwall will try for Leao next. Whatever shall we do?!?!
I don’t see Leao wearing Arsenal shirts next season, unless Milan wants to sell him and Leao put money above everything.
Arsenal can’t take Krunić away from Milan, that is how desirable destination it is at the moment.
