AS journalist confirms: “Milan are very interested in the young players of Real Madrid”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Real Madrid are once again at the negotiating table it seems, a year after they concluded a deal which saw Theo Hernandez move to Italy.

There has been a lot of speculation in the media linking Milan with a move for Brahim Diaz, a playmaker who is currently struggling for game time with Los Blacos.

It is believes that the Rossoneri are speaking with Real about a loan with option to buy deal for Brahim, who would take the spot of Giacomo Bonaventura after he left on a free transfer.

Moreover, there is also speculation that Milan are keen on another young playmaker from the same club in Oscar Rodriguez, who scored nine LaLiga goals in 30 appearances out on loan at Leganes last season.

Journalist of newspaper AS – Sergio Santos – spoke to MilanNews about a variety of different topics, and we have translated below.

At what point is the negotiation between Milan and Real for Brahim?

“Milan managed to convince the player, who looks favourably on the move to the Rossoneri. But Milan want to insert an option to buy and Madrid prefer a loan with no options,” he said.

Can you describe the player technically?

“He is a very good and highly technical attacking midfielder. He can play on both wings or as a second striker. He knows how to use both feet equally. But he needs time, he has the Olympics and the U21 Euros at the end of next season and so he wants to play.”

Are Milan also interested in Oscar Rodriguez?

“Yes, it’s true. Boban came to Madrid in January to talk about Kubo too. Let’s say that Milan are very interested in the young players of Real Madrid.”
