Asensio reveals desire regarding Real Madrid future amid Milan and Barcelona links

Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio has revealed his thoughts regarding his future and also the chance he had to leave in the summer.

Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews recently reported on his YouTube channel that Milan are monitoring Asensio’s situation and they are aware that at present he appears set to leave Real Madrid on a free next June, with not much possibility of a renewal.

Paolo Maldini is a big admirer of the 26-year-old, who can play on the right wing or as a playmaker, but there are two obstacles that arise immediately: Asensio will want a high salary from his next club and his entourage would want a hefty commission.

Asensio spoke on the radio broadcast El Partidazo de Cope and was asked about what the future might hold for him given his expiring contract and the persistent links with a move away.

“This summer I had the opportunity to leave, but I stayed. I’ve always been happy here and I hope to sign a new contract, but it’s not just up to me because there are many other factors at play,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).

“The rumours of the transfer market are normal, since in a few months I will be able to sign as a free agent. Would I ever go to Barcelona? I have never thought about a future in Barça, so at this moment I cannot answer.”
