CM: Bakayoko affair must not sour relations as Milan eye three Chelsea players

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan do not want anything to damage their relationship with Chelsea and they must handle Tiemoue Bakayoko’s future with care, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com writes that Milan are not playing Tiemoue Bakayoko partly because of the €15m option to buy that is in his two-year loan deal which becomes an obligation to buy if he racks up a certain number of appearances above 45 minutes.

In January the issue will resurface and the Rossoneri management are working with Bakayoko’s entourage to find him a way out of the current agreement in order to get him some more playing time at a club where he has more centrality in their plans.

However, there will also be Chelsea to deal with as part of this and given that Milan are admirers of Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, damaging relationships with the Blues just to get rid of Bakayoko is not a good idea.

Maldini and Massara will have to try to please everyone: the player, Chelsea, Milan’s budget and – last but not least – Stefano Pioli.

  1. Loftus Cheek has started the majority of their games this year… I don’t think he’s on the cards unfortunately! I was disappointed not to see Milan take a punt on Callum Hudson-Odoi before he moved to Germany.

  2. Do you mean ACM must buy Bakayoko even if do not match with ACM playing style & hardly make appearances ?

Just give cut the loan agreement will not damage that relationship.
