AC Milan Women faced Juventus in the 18th round of Women’s Serie A 2024-25 at the PUMA House of Football and it didn’t go to plan as they lost 6-0.
The Rossonere suffered a heavy defeat with Cristiana Girelli scoring a hat-trick in the first half while Boattin, Bergamaschi and Vangsgaard completed the scoring for the Bianconeri. It was one of those games where everything went in for Juve which is a good feeling, like free spins on card registration.
This result leaves Milan in fifth place in the standings meaning that Suzanne Bakker’s side are in the Scudetto play-offs. However, Milan will need to work hard to regain ground in the upcoming matches because they were well beaten.

Bakker’s reaction
Speaking after the match, the Milan coach was keen to try and highlight some of the positives that will hopefully stand her team in good stead.
“As for today’s game, I think the start of the game was positive, we showed accuracy in the way we defended. After the 20th minute we collapsed and we left them the space to play: it was too easy for them to score 3 goals in 5 minutes and that’s what I told the girls during the break,” she said.
“What we can do now is to immediately change course because we are Milan and it is not possible to get these results. In the second half we did slightly better, only in the last 10 minutes we did badly and we conceded another 2 goals.
“If I look at the whole season, however, we have grown a lot both individually and as a team and I think we deserved to qualify for the Poule Scudetto.”
Are you more worried about how you lost today or are you more happy about qualifying for the Poule Scudetto?
“Today I am very disappointed with the result: we were not able to score and we did very badly. But I think we needed this to grow as individuals and as a team. I can say that I am happy that we will play in the Poule Scudetto to have more games like this that help us grow.”
